What really brings me on to reading this book was the title. There was something undesigningly, intriguing about the title ‘Unanswered’. The cover I will say is not absolutely disappointing but I would suggest given the nature of the book the color should have been a little more vibrant. The cover sports nothing but palm impressions, as if there is something within the book that calls for the reader.
The book is a Pandora’s box of anecdotes, articles, prose and poems. Every page you turn, you will being to associate with the Author more. So lets take a look!
Although reiteration of his own life, the Author’s work is far from being an autobiography. In the search of the unanswered we often tend to become oblivious to existence. The fact that every being and every living moment is a subject of interpretation, we continue to battle with the desire to unflur the unknown. Kunal’s work is a balance between a work of fiction and a reflection of the reality and hence it seemed difficult for me to actually list is under one specific category.
The book is a hoarder of knowledge. Despite not being a poetry person, I was drawn to the nature and depiction of the events that curled within itself some thought provoking concept.
This is not definitely not a read for a hustle reader, you need time, patience and the right emotion to read.
Author’s language is quite a twirl, but not tangent. Readers will definitely connect to the Author and his language once you develop a flow of it.
A unique, hardly come across style of writing. The author has kept a very balanced pace and tone of the book which remained the highlight throughout the read.
What I like about the book?
Language and the dialogue of the book is apt, make you feel as if the book has come to life. The building up of the tale in each stanza o the poetry is not just catch but also a gripper.
The poet has very aptly manages to let his feelings and his emotional condition touch the reader by merely playing with words.
What could have been better?
There are not too many stones unturned as regards the book. However since a reader always pics up a book by reading the blurb I would prefer that the Author design one and let the blurb unleash the dictum of the unanswered. The language could have been slightly more lucid since it will be a tough read for those who don’t follow poetry or for the indie readers.
All in All:
I loved he pattern in which the tales in poetry developed giving meaning and answers to all the UNANSWERED. The read is an ambivalent journey of learnings, love, failure, fear, understanding and of course perseverance. I would recommend this to all poetry lovers for sure apart from the readers who are seekers of something new and beautiful.
